Pöyry Energy GmbH is an internationally renown company in the fields of design and construction of hydro power plants. We provide the full range of services related to hydro-electric power, including hydrology, water management, and river and waterway engineering.
We are an engineering subsidiary of the Pöyry Group as well as of Verbund, Austria's leading electricity company. Since 40 years we have been carrying out hydro power projects in the Austrian Alps, on alpine rivers, and in countries across the globe, and the extreme conditions that we work in have enabled us to develop expertise with regards to safe and economic design and operation. We have equipped many run-of-river power plants with bulb turbines and have gained vast experience in the dimensioning and structural integration of all sizes of bulb turbines. Experience gained over decades in the renewal and optimisation of control technology in power plants allow us to offer the complete range of services from one source.
Our plants are designed as multi-purpose plants and can be used for flood control, water supply, irrigation, drainage, navigation and tourism.
Our range of services includes all stages of hydro power plant engineering from the feasibility study up to the final acceptance. Additionally, we provide consulting services for the maintenance and operation of hydro power plants.
